Colin Firth Oscar Acceptance Speech Watch
A well-deserved win for Colin Firth within the Oscars 2011 Sunday night. The King’s Speech actor won the best Actor Oscar for the movie where he played the role of the stammering King George VI.
The famous royal may have had problems speaking, but Firth had no such difficulties as he gave a touching and humorous speech up at the podium.
“I’m afraid I’ve to warn you that I’m experiencing stirrings somewhere in the upper abdominals which are threatening to form themselves into dance moves,” the thespian revealed. “Joyous as they may be for me, it would be extremely problematic if they make it to my legs prior to I get offstage.”
