The first preseason games have been played, and I must say, it was nice to have some football to watch on television. The season is fast approaching. Things will change with depth charts, and players will get hurt. For those of you that like to roll the dice and draft early. I’m going to keep updating my rankings throughout preseason.

1. Adrian Peterson. I have had AP at number one since early May, and nothing has changed. AP all day baby. Don’t pick Foster over him. Never pay full price for a players career year.

2. Ray Rice. You might not have to reach this high for Rice, but this is where I have him ranked. I really love the upside of Rice this year. Vonta Leach came over from Houston, Willis is gone. I know they brought in Ricky Williams, but I’m not worried about him. Also, the Ravens have already said that Rice will be the goal line back this year. What’s not to love. I smell I breakout year on the way for Mr. Rice.

3. Arian Foster. I’m not in panic mode yet, but Foster has a pulled hamstring, and as I’m writing this Foster still hasn’t practiced since the injury. Foster also lost Vonta Leach. The good thing for Foster is that Slaton, and Tate are hurt as well. So they won’t be wooing the coaches anytime soon. Let’s just say I’m not as high on Foster as I once was.

4. Jamaal Charles. I can’t believe the Chiefs still have Charles listed as the number two running back. I don’t care. Charles is a stud with a boat load of talent. I always love to draft talent in fantasy football. Don’t let this bother you. Charles is still a top five RB this year.

5. Chris Johnson. Still a no show at training camp, I’m starting to worry. The more time Chris misses the better chance of him not being in football shape, and getting hurt when he does come back.

6. Rashard Mendenhall. He will get all the goal line carries and has no one threatening to take his job. I’m starting to love Rashard more and more for this season.

7. LeSean McCoy. He’s a Flat out stud, but I’m a little more worried about Ronnie Brown then most. Not sure who will be getting the goal line carries. Still, in this offence McCoy will get tons of yards, and still score td’s.

8. Steven Jackson. SJ39 is flying up my draft board this year. The more I look over then NFL for stud RB’s that don’t have RBBC. The more I can’t find them. I think the Ram’s offence takes off this year. Jackson will get more chance’s at the goal line, and more receptions with McDaniels there. What’s not to love. You can bring up that he might get injured if you want, but this year everyone has an increased chance because of the lockout.

9. Michael Turner. Are you worried that the burner has been over worked the last two years?? Yes, but he’s the number one back and no one is taking his job this year. The Falcons will score a lot of td’s and Turners getting all the goal line carries.

10. Darren McFadden. Man, if this kid wasn’t made out of glass he would be even higher. Love the upside that Darren has but he’s hurt already with a broken bone in his face. He’s top ten because of his talent.

Just missed the top 10

11. Maurice Jones Drew. Not only worried about his knee, but this offence is not going to be good.

12. Matt Forte. I like Forte in this offence, but he might lose the goal line carries to Barber.

13. Peyton Hillis. So far he looks good in camp and Montario Hartesy can’t stay healthy (still having knee problems).

14. Shonn Greene. Ok stop me if you heard this one before, but Rex said that Greene is the man this year, and the reports are Greene might get 300 touches. Call me crazy, but I believe them.

15. Jahvid Best. To bad the rookie when down with a season ending injury, buts that’s good new for Best and his value.

Thursday night’s contentious debate opened the door to a new phase in the Republican Party’s nomination battle, as rivals engaged each other in arguments that will sharply define the choices voters face as they pick a challenger to President Obama.

The urgency of the straw poll here on Saturday sparked the first serious efforts by some of the leading Republican candidates to tear down the records of their opponents as they seek a victory in the campaign’s first real test.

But the dramatic shift in tone — by candidates who seemed suddenly unshackled from the timidity that had gripped them in two previous debates — foreshadowed the kind of nomination campaign that may unfold over the next year. It now seems clear it could be as rough and personal as the historic Democratic primary battle of 2008.

Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty, who have each wagered their campaigns on the outcome of the straw poll, pulled no punches. Both came prepared with specific accusations about the failings of the other’s record, and neither was reticent about lodging them, often in biting language.

“If that’s your view of effective leadership with results, please stop, because you’re killing us,” Mr. Pawlenty said to Mrs. Bachmann after listing a litany of Obama policies she tried — and failed — to stop.

The other rough exchanges of the night also helped reveal a field of Republican candidates that is far more divided on both policy and rhetoric than the relatively passive campaign to date would suggest.

Mitt Romney and his rivals clashed on health care and the appropriate power of state governments. Ron Paul and Rick Santorum raised their voices about the government’s role in containing a nuclear Iran. And Jon M. Huntsman Jr. chided his rivals for what he characterized as their irresponsible opposition to raising the nation’s debt ceiling at any cost.

But perhaps the most telling moments in the debate were the ones that offered a peek into what could be the durable narratives of the 2012 Republican nomination campaign.

Here are six such moments:

1. Passion vs. Competence — An exchange between Mrs. Bachmann and Mr. Pawlenty might suggest one kind of political battle to come among the Republican candidates this year — passion versus competence.

Mrs. Bachmann asserted that “people are looking for a champion. They want someone who has been fighting.” But Mr. Pawlenty countered with a critique of her efforts, saying, in essence, that she tilts at windmills with little chance of real success or effectiveness.

“Her record of accomplishment and results is nonexistent,” he said.

That could end up being a lasting part of the Republican debate, all the way up to the party’s national convention next summer. Does the party want to nominate someone with a history of governing? Or someone who has demonstrated the willingness to engage in a street fight with the president?

2. “Obamneycare” — Mitt Romney, in spite of his front-runner status, escaped some of the sharpest exchanges. But if Mr. Romney thought he found a way out of his health care dilemma, Thursday’s debate was not encouraging. Mr. Romney struggled with a complicated answer to a tough question on the issue by Bret Baier, the Fox News moderator. And his rivals were only too happy to pounce when they got the chance.

“Obamacare was patterned after Mitt’s plan in Massachusetts,” Mr. Pawlenty said, happy for another chance to take the shot after ducking it at the last debate. “That’s why I called it Obamneycare, and I think that’s a fair label, and I’m happy to call it that again tonight.”

In May, Mr. Romney gave a long policy speech in which he hoped to put to rest questions about why he still supports his own health care legislation in Massachusetts, but opposes Mr. Obama’s similar plan. The debate on Thursday suggests that those questions remain.

3. Gender and Religion — When one of the panelists asked Mrs. Bachmann whether, as president, she would be submissive to her husband, he crossed into two areas that may continue to reverberate for months on the campaign trail: religion and gender.

As Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sarah Palin both proved in 2008, the presence of female candidate in a presidential contest creates a different dynamic for all of the candidates. Would a male candidate have been asked a similar question about being submissive to his wife?

And the religious overtones in the question hinted at a continued theme in the campaign, not only for Mrs. Bachmann but also for Rick Perry, the governor of Texas, whose public embrace of religion has already become an issue as he joins the race.

4. Intervention vs. Isolation — Voters will have to decide which view of national security they want to embrace in their nominee. That choice was laid out pretty clearly by the exchanges between Mr. Paul and Mr. Santorum.

“Stay out of their internal business,” Mr. Paul said, arguing against sanctions on Iran for trying to get nuclear weapons. “Don’t get involved in these wars. And just bring our troops home.”

But Mr. Santorum was just as passionate, saying of Mr. Paul that “anyone that suggests that Iran is not a threat to this country or is not a threat to stability in the Middle East is obviously not seeing the world very clearly.”

Neither Mr. Paul nor Mr. Santorum are doing very well in the national polls. But even if neither of them become the party’s nominee, their presence in the race for the next several months could help provide voters with competing visions of how Republicans might alter Mr. Obama’s foreign policy.

5. Jobs, Jobs, Jobs — At one point in the debate, Mr. Romney was asked a tough question about his past at Bain Capital, the venture firm that made the former Massachusetts governor wealthy. Mr. Baier asked whether actions taken by Mr. Romney while at the firm resulted in thousands of lost jobs.

His answer was that in business, things “don’t always go well” and he insisted that “in those 100 businesses we invested in, tens of thousands of jobs, net-net, were created.”

Mr. Romney’s Republican rivals did not follow up on the issue. But even as the Republican primary is just getting fully engaged, Mr. Obama’s allies are already taking aim at Mr. Romney’s record at Bain. The debate just confirmed that his record at the company is likely to remain an issue for months.

6. Read My Lips, No New Taxes — If there was one subject where everyone agreed, it was taxes. Mr. Baier asked all of the candidates to raise their hands if they would refuse to sign on to a legislative package that included $10 of spending cuts for every $1 of revenue increases.

They all raised their hands.

But the issue is not going away. By taking a hard-line stand opposing any taxes, the Republican candidates are quietly aligning themselves with the more conservative lawmakers in the Congress, while polls show that a majority of Americans want a deficit-reduction package to include new revenues, including taxes on wealthy Americans.

The quintessential coming-of-age film Stand by Me celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The movie tells the story of four 12-year-old boys in a small town in Oregon and the Labor Day weekend that changed their lives forever.

The film was a hit almost immediately after it was released in the summer of 1986 and has gone on to become a beloved classic. Writer and actor Wil Wheaton, who played Gordie Lachance, Stand by Me’s star, tells weekends on All Things Considered guest host David Greene that he credits the cast and director Rob Reiner for the film’s success.

“I felt from the very first time we all got together up in Oregon that we were making something really special,” Wheaton says.

Corey Feldman, Jerry O’Connell and River Phoenix played Gordie’s buddies. The actors, who were all the same age, bonded during filming, a chemistry that is apparent in their friendships onscreen.

“Rob Reiner found four young boys who basically were the characters we played,” Wheaton says.

Wheaton grew especially close to Phoenix, who died of a drug overdose at the age of 23. Even though they were the same age, Wheaton describes Phoenix as a kind of father figure, as well as “one of the kindest people I’d ever been around.”

“We stayed friends after we worked on the film, and I went and visited his family,” Wheaton says. “I guess around the time that I was turning maybe 15, we just drifted apart, and I always felt really sad about that.”

Even though Stand by Me deals with the adult themes of abuse, dysfunctional families and death, Wheaton sees the film as a love letter to childhood innocence.

“Stand by Me, it sort of talks about this time in your life that feels incredibly complicated, but as you get older you realize it’s actually incredibly simple,” Wheaton says. “And we get the tremendous gift of not knowing that it’s never going to be like that again for the rest of our lives, so it’s just pure and it’s uncomplicated. And it’s a time that stays with us even as we become adults.”

With just hours to go before Kanye West and Jay-Z – collectively dubbed “The Throne” – debut their collaborative album Watch The Throne, fans who have been eagerly awaiting the release of the album have been teased by a blistering artist-commissioned leak of the track “Otis” and have been inundated with various freestyles over the instrumental by some of rap’s greats.

Some have been searching feverishly for leaks and snippets, which “The Throne” and their media team have successfully kept secure from bootleggers. There was even an event where an uninvited blogger leaked five low quality rips of the album and posted them to the Web after a Watch The Throne listening party. Earlier today, full snippets of the album were available online but have since been removed. It appears that Watch The Throne is the first big album in some time to avoid the dreaded leak.

Kanye’s career ascension to top billing artist status is a remarkable one. Although employed for some years as a producer for Roc-A-Fella providing smashes for Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel and others, the Chicago product had designs on being a rapper. 2004′s The College Dropout showcased a much more humble version of the artist than we’ve witnessed in recent times with glaring moments of humility from front to end. Each subsequent album from Yeezy showed a bolder side of the artist, gaining him both fans and a certain amount of infamy.

Kanye’s 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was Yeezy at his most creative and perhaps zaniest. With fame, fortune, and beauties willing to avail themselves to the megastar, some feared that Mr. West had finally morphed into an exaggerated egomaniac bent on removing all vestiges of his formerly humble self. With Watch The Throne, listeners could assess that Kanye intends to go even harder than he did on his last solo record and claim his place amongst the best to ever do it.

Kanye’s partner in rhyme Jay-Z has already addressed how their album avoided the clutches of hackers and blogs far too eager to blast out their wares. Jay-Z even mentioned that this unprecedented effort to keep Watch The Throne safe from premature release was a nod to the fans that support the pair. Whatever the case, “The Throne” has made history as this would be the first album between the two to not see early release. Going forward, they have altered the landscape of the recording industry with clever staggering of dates and heavily monitored listening sessions.

Watch The Throne is shaping about to be one of the biggest and most historic music events ever. Will other big names follow in footsteps of the pair? Time will tell.

This brief message is all about you. To start with, however, I have to say something “about me.” I’ve been with Elliott Wave International since 1992: That’s a good long time, long enough to have seen lots of days when our staff did all it could to deliver forecasts that prepared subscribers for what’s next.

Yet today stands above virtually all those others. I can scarcely recall a day when we’ve been able to offer 1) So much, 2) So immediately, that is 3) So urgent.

Here is where it’s all about you. Earlier this year, The Elliott Wave Financial Forecast (EWFF) specifically forecast the juncture we’ve arrived at now — it said most people believe the markets and economy are recovered and growing. But there were TWO parts to that forecast; the time has come for the second part to unfold. You’re a few keystrokes away from what EWFF is saying now for free (new issue posts tomorrow, Aug. 5).

What’s more, you’re a few keystrokes from reading Robert Prechter’s current commentary in The Elliott Wave Theorist, again, for free. He provides you with a context to understand the events of the past week and month, which you simply cannot find elsewhere (you won’t need to wonder why the blue chips are now down on the year for 2011 — you’ll know why).

Finally there’s the forecast in The Short Term Update: Earlier this week we alerted subscribers to action in the S&P 500 and Dow Industrials which broke below critical price levels. Perhaps you’ve heard some of the chatter on news and financial websites in the past 48 hours about a “head and shoulders” pattern. Yet Short Term Update subscribers got THAT news two weeks ago, back on July 20 — along with a specific price level that would confirm the forecast.

This is a wealth of forecasting; you can have it immediately; and the moment is indeed urgent. I’ve never seen a day quite like it.

My colleagues here at EWI have put together a two-week free trial to all three of the services I mention above. Together, they we call them the Financial Forecast Service and they deliver the most comprehensive coverage of the US markets available anywhere. Now, if you are already familiar with EWI, you know that we NEVER offer free trials to these services. But you must act now as this offer ends Wednesday, August 10.

Pretending Glee Cast Lyrics

Face to face and heart to heart
We’re so close yet so far apart
I close my eyes I look away
That’s just because I’m not okay
But I hold on I stay strong
Wondering if we still belong

Will we ever say the words we’re feeling
Deep down underneath it
Tear down all the walls
Will we ever have a happy ending
Or will we forever only be pretending
We will always be pretending

How long do I fantasize
Make believe that it’s still alive
Imagine that I am good enough
If we can choose the ones we love
But I hold on I stay strong
Wondering if we still belong

Will we ever say the words we’re feeling
Deep down underneath it
Tear down all the walls
Will we ever have a happy ending
Or will we forever only be pretending

Will we (oh oh) always (oh oh) be keeping secrets safe
Every move we make
Seems like nowhere’s safe to go
And it’s such a shame
Cuz if you feel the same
How am I supposed to know

Will we ever say the words we’re feeling
Deep down underneath it
Tear down all the walls bloglyrics.net
Will we ever have a happy ending
Or will we forever only be pretending
Will we (oh oh) always (oh oh) be pretending

These days, on Cinco p Mayo so that as component from the 60th annual National Day’s Prayer inside the U.S., 1000′s of intercessors will gather in Dallas and Mexico City and also at the U.S.-Mexico border to cry out for any breakthrough of God’s energy. The primary focus in our hopes will most likely be to think about lower the drug cartels and secure our nation’s southern border against drug trafficking and violence.

In reaction to some prophetic directive distributed by Cindy Jacobs of Generals Worldwide, the U . s . States Hispanic Prayer Network has headed the implementation of the extremely proper 21-day prayer and fasting initiative that culminates nowadays. We now have contended in prayer for righteous trade, peace and security across the two nations’ border.

We’re thinking that God will throw fire on our sacrifice as national and condition prayer leaders from across Mexico and also the U.S. come along for any synchronised prayer gathering along with other National Day’s Prayer occasions in metropolitan areas over the U.S. Inside the future, days or several weeks, we think we will have drug-trafficking procedures uncovered and dissolved, criminals from the drug war set completely free, and occurrences of violence, kidnapping and extortion significantlyconsiderably decrease. We require your assist and participation throughoutthroughout this essential time within the great reputation for Mexico and also the U . s . States.

The violence across the U.S. southern border has increased to unparalleled levels. The government authorities of both nations have labored faithfully to quit the problems, and nevertheless they remain and therefore are increasing. We notice that the drug trade is definitely an problemproblem of demand and supply. Both nations are culpable, and repentance and restoration are needed on sides from the southern border.

Consequently, we believe it is time for Christian believers from both nations to seize the duty we now have just prior to God and guy to face inside the gap, based on 2 Stories 7:14, and also to request the The almighty to heal our nations.

Hard boiled eggs. Scrape the yolks from half a dozen hard-cooked eggs and mash them up with about 1/3 cup of mayonnaise, a little salt and pepper and sufficient sharp mustard to provide it zing. Spoon the combination back into the whites. Add a sprinkling of paprika or chopped chives for colour.

But that is only a beginning stage. Limitless versions can turn this already beloved snack into something truly special.

1. Cut about a quarter of the egg off the small end and a thin strip off the large end to make it stand up. Spoon out the yolk. After piping in filling, place the top piece back on at an angle like a hat.

2. Use the pointed end of a small, sharp knife to make a zigzag cuts when halving the eggs.

3. Use quail eggs for one-bite deviled eggs.

4. Finely dice the whites and mix them into the yolk mixture to make deviled-egg spread. Serve on cocktail bread, as a dip for crudites or as a sandwich spread.

Mix one of these into the filling:

5. Bacon, cooked, chopped

6. Cheese, grated

7. Corned beef

17. Spam, finely chopped

18. Watercress, chopped
